RotoMetrics has announced two appointments in its Eureka, MO, headquarters staff that reaffirm the company’s commitment to continuing its leadership position in the global precision rotary tooling markets. Karen Moreland has been appointed to the newly created role of vice president – global marketing and business development. Molly Moroni joins RotoMetrics as sales director, US & Canada. She will take up the newly created position on August 27, 2012. Reporting to the company’s president and CEO, Moreland will be responsible for supporting strategic new business development initiatives; global product management; developing multi-national customer and OEM opportunities, and coordinating regional marketing activities. This move will support RotoMetrics’ evolution towards regional business accountability while leveraging its global scale. Moreland joined RotoMetrics in 1989 and has held prior roles as VP of international operations and VP of sales – Americas, leading critical initiatives to grow the company’s business by improving and expanding its geographical sales presence, manufacturing operations and product offerings on a global scale. In 2010, Moreland supported establishing the company’s first Asian manufacturing operation in Thailand. She is an active member of TLMI and FINAT. Robert Spiller, RotoMetrics’ president and CEO, says, “Throughout her career, Karen has developed critical client, OEM, and industry knowledge, contributing to the company’s success. She has also worked closely with product development, positioning RotoMetrics as a major player in the evolving flexible die and specialty converting markets.” Moroni will also report to the company’s president and CEO, and will be responsible for leading the company’s sales initiatives throughout the United States and Canada. She joins RotoMetrics with a depth of experience in the tag and label industry and in sales leadership. Most recently, she served as General Manager for Checkpoint Systems, Apparel Labeling Solutions. Moroni started with Checkpoint as sales director for the Labeling Unit and grew the business from $12 million to over $60 million in sales. Prior to this role, Moroni worked in a variety of sales, marketing, and business development leadership roles with Zebra Technologies and Monarch Marking Systems / Paxar.
